Songs and satire written by Yonatan Geffen
A unique collaboration with poet Yonatan Geffen, one of the most important and significant artists in Israeli culture, the man who with unparalleled talent, vision so sharp it sometimes hurts, but always with moving honesty, manages to express what many of us think but don’t dare to say out loud. Intertwined in the show are satirical pieces by Geffen and original songs such as “Ze Haya Sipur Shel Horef”, “Makom Lede’aga”, “Pahot Aval Ko’ev”, Yahol Lihiot Shezeh Nigmar”, “Haballada al Hedva VeShmulik” and many others. The songs were performed by Asaf Amdursky, Efrat Ben-Tsur, Sivan Talmor, No’am Rotem, and Vered Picker. Two works by composers Amir Lakner and Michael Seltenreich for narrator (Yonatan Geffen) and orchestra were commissioned especially for this evening.
Arrangements: Zohar Sharon, Adir Levi, Orit Gurel, Amir Lekner, Asher Goldschmidt and Michael Seltenreich
