Third World Revolution - תזמורת המהפכה - The Revolution Orchestra

An exhilarating show of original Israeli music — The Revolution Orchestra joins forces with the acclaimed Israeli–international jazz ensemble Third World Love for a world-embracing musical experience.

The performance combines original orchestral arrangements of the ensemble’s instrumental works with four newly commissioned compositions for soloist and orchestra — concerto-like movements written especially for each of the band’s members: Avishai Cohen (trumpet), Omer Avital (double bass), Yonatan Avishai (piano), and Daniel Freedman (drums).

“Third World Love” was among the most prominent groups in both the Israeli and international jazz scenes. Their music represented a fresh and distinctive approach to jazz, blending world influences from diverse cultures into an original and soulful sound. The result is a performance bursting with joy, spirituality, and irresistible groove.

The show also featured visuals by a selection of young photographers.

Premiered on April 3, 2008, as part of the Spring Festival in Rishon LeZion.
