The Israeli Animation Project is a groundbreaking Israeli production, the first of its kind, in which 11 pairs of young animators and composers created a living dialogue between music and animation. The orchestra performs original scores for animated films created by graduates of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design’s Animation Department, and composed by graduates of Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. The project premiered at the prestigious Israel Festival (2006) and later featured as the opening event of the Jerusalem Arts Festival (2007), earning enthusiastic reviews and audience acclaim. Over the years, new films by animation students and young composers from additional institutions have joined the repertoire.
Since 2010, the show has been performed more than 60 times across Israel as part of the national arts education program, reaching thousands of high school students nationwide.
