Sonia - תזמורת המהפכה - The Revolution Orchestra

An original musical inspired by the life of Sonia and Shimon Peres by Haifa Theatre.

Featuring The Revolution Orchestra.

Conductor: Nir Cohen-Shalit / Roy Oppenheim

While Shimon Peres’ life is extensively documented, Sonia Peres remains a lesser-known figure. The musical brings Sonia to the forefront, portraying a courageous woman who chose to live away from the spotlight. It sheds light on her intimate relationship with her husband, Shimon Peres. Woven into their story is the narrative of Israel – from the founding of Alumot Kibbutz, navigating the Middle Eastern arms race, to political struggles, peace agreements, and confronting economic and security challenges.
