A play by Peter Flannery.
Production of Cameri Theater featuring The Revolution Orchestra.
After losing everything in the Holocaust, young Peter Singer arrives in London as a penniless refugee. Determined to embrace life, erase the past, and reinvent himself, he manages to build a real estate empire in London’s high society. He encounters wealth, women wrapped in furs and diamonds, and the glittering gates of English aristocracy. Yet, as he ascends, Singer also faces the ruthless world of real estate, the corruption and brilliance of Jerusalem, and the ever-present danger of building an empire on shaky ground.
A stylish, sweeping, and tragic tale inspired by the true story of Peter Rachman, London’s infamous landlord.
Condcutor: Roy Oppenheim, playing original music by Amir Lekner.
