The greatest late musical artists are resurrected by mesmerizing video art combined with live orchestra music.
A team of bold Israeli composers created works that bring together their sources of inspiration, comprised in each piece of two musicians who have never shared the stage –
- Freddie Mercury and Luciano Pavarotti,
- Jimi Hendrix and Jacqueline du Pre,
- John Lennon and Glenn Gould,
- Astor Piazzolla and Edith Piaf,
- Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse,
- Marvin Gaye and Yehudi Menuhin and more.
Through the combination of sound samples and new orchestral music, a fascinating dialogue arises between past and future. One that defied the borders of existing genres and disciplines.
The show was first performed on November 4, 2014, as part of the 30th anniversary of the Israeli Opera House, and relaunched in June 2019, as part of the Revolution Series 2018-2019.
