Beats - תזמורת המהפכה - The Revolution Orchestra

Beats is a musical–theatrical–visual performance offering an immersive and playful introduction to the elements of musical rhythm. At its center stands the absent-minded professor (played by Guy Messika), who tries to find his place among the members of The Revolution Orchestra, stumbling into a series of imaginative and humorous situations. Through music and interaction, the conductor and orchestra musicians gradually teach him the secret of collaboration.

The performance is inspired by the award-winning Israeli animation film “Ketzeb” (Rhythm), created by animator Dudu Shalita, which illustrates the phenomenon of rhythm in everyday life through vivid imagery and humor. The film won the Israeli Educational Film Award and was screened at numerous international festivals.

Beats, composed by Zohar Sharon, won the “ClassiLike” competition initiated by Mifal HaPais in 2012 for original orchestral works for the whole family, and was produced with its support. The show premiered at the Sounds of Childhood Festival in Holon and the Sounds in the Desert Festival in Sde Boker.
