BATSIR 2023

 By Rimon School, Vertigo Dance Company and The Revolution Orchestra.

An original educational project, initiated and artistically directed by Zohar Sharon and Roy Oppenheim, integrating the skills of Rimon school of music’s Contemporary Writing and Production students, with those of Vertigo Dance Company’s Dancer Training Workshop, headed by Keren Bigon Horesh, and those of The Revolution Orchestra’s musicians.

The show includes new works, composed by Rimon students, for orchestra and electronic music, which serve as the soundtrack to new dance pieces by choreographers Keren Bigon Horesh, Yankalle Filtser, Yohay Ginton, Annabelle Dvir, and Jeremy Alberge. Additionally, the Workshop dancers perform select Vertigo Dance Company pieces. The Vertigo pieces soundtrack is played live on stage by The Revolution Orchestra musicians, with new music alongside new arrangements written by the Rimon students for this event.

The three partners to the project – Rimon school, Vertigo Dance Company, and The Revolution Orchestra – join forces to celebrate together in an evening of original Israeli music and dance.
